ShieldWays documentation
ShieldWays is a browser-native privacy layer for the AI workplace. It scans what you type into AI tools before it leaves the page, redacts or blocks sensitive data on-device, and keeps a content-free audit trail — your text never reaches our servers.

What ShieldWays does
ShieldWays has three parts that work together:
- AI Guard — the flagship. A Chrome extension that detects PII, secrets, financial data, and more in prompts to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, and Perplexity — and warns, redacts, or blocks before the text is sent.
- Meeting Guard — protection on meeting platforms: local redaction of sensitive text visible in your meeting tab, input field masking, and awareness of AI notetakers.
- Dashboard — the web app where you configure policy, review a content-free audit log, manage devices, and handle billing.
The one design rule
Everything ShieldWays detects is detected on your device, inside your browser. The only thing that ever leaves is content-free audit metadata — the type of detection, the action taken, the domain it happened on, and a timestamp. Never the text itself.
Zero-knowledge by design. If you want the full picture of what is and is not transmitted, read Privacy architecture.
